Concrete grinding & polishing · Auckland
Turn the slab you already own into a dense, sealed, easy-care floor with the look of polished stone. Site visits and free quotes across Auckland, from commercial floors and fit-outs to family homes.
Concrete polishing enhances the slab rather than covering it. Grinding removes old coatings and weak surface paste, then progressively finer diamonds refine the concrete to the sheen you want. The result is harder, denser and more resistant to staining and wear than the slab you started with.
HTC Superfloor™ finishes
We polish with the HTC Superfloor™ system, available in four finishes. The difference between them is the grinding depth and the number of polishing steps.
The entry point of the range: fewer grinding and polishing steps for a clean, hard-wearing everyday finish.
Often chosen for: warehouses, workshops, storage areas
A step up in refinement, with more polishing steps for a more even floor.
Often chosen for: retail, offices
A deeper grind and more polishing steps for extra character and sheen.
Often chosen for: showrooms, retail, living areas
The top of the range, polished to a high-gloss architectural finish.
Often chosen for: showrooms, hospitality, showpiece homes
Prefer something in between? We match custom finishes to your preferred aggregate exposure and gloss level, from soft satin through to high-gloss.
Why polished concrete
Grinding plus a penetrating densifier leaves the surface harder, denser and more resistant to wear.
One of the lowest-maintenance flooring options available, with no coverings to replace.
Polishing brings out the character of your own slab, similar to granite or slate.
A penetrating sealer guards against everyday spills soaking in.
Nothing to rip up and re-lay in ten years. The concrete is the floor.
The same system runs from warehouses and showrooms to family living areas.
Grind & seal is the quicker option: we grind the surface, then apply a protective sealer rather than mechanically polishing to a shine. We do both. Tell us about your space and we'll recommend the right one at your site visit.
The process
We assess your slab, talk through finishes, and give you a clear quote.
Industrial grinders remove coatings, contaminants and weak surface paste, then flatten and level the slab.
Progressively finer resin diamonds bring the floor to your chosen sheen, from soft satin to high gloss.
A concrete densifier hardens the surface; a penetrating sealer adds stain protection. Done.

Polished concrete is mechanically refined with diamonds until the concrete itself shines, then densified and sealed. Grind & seal grinds the surface and adds a protective sealer coat: quicker, with a finish that comes from the sealer rather than the concrete. We'll recommend the right one for your space and budget.
Most slabs can. Old glue, paint and coatings come off during the initial grind. That's exactly what the site visit is for: we check your slab and tell you straight.

It depends on the floor area, the condition of the slab, and the finish level you choose. A Bronze finish and a Platinum high-gloss polish are very different jobs, so we quote each floor exactly. Quotes are free, with no obligation.
